An Alkaline Diet and Cancer

I have decided to talk about having an Alkaline diet today. I feel it is very important and will play a huge part in your recovery. Cancer loves an acidic body. Why? Because the cancer feeds off acid.
Each cell in your body takes in oxygen, glucose and nutrients which pushes out the toxins from your body. The cells are protected by your immune system. Unfortunately as the body gets acidic your immune system cannot fight the toxins and your cells lose the capacity to take in the right amount of oxygen and that's when they go bad. This is when the cell gets affected by cancer.
Cancer will not live in your body if your alkaline level is at a pH level of 7.4. The higher the pH level gets, the more cancer and the cancer cells will die.
Cancer cells will not live in a high oxygen environment. They only thrive if your oxygen level is very low and the acid content in your body is very high.
So - keep your alkaline level high and your body and immune system will stay strong. This leads to your cells getting plenty of oxygen and discarding their toxins. Cancer will not thrive or multiply under these ideal conditions.
An alkaline diet will not only benefit cancer, it will fight many dis-eases. You can purchase alkaline supplements and they are a good way of introducing alkaline into your diet. But remember, fresh is best.
Steamed or raw vegetables are best and they include - Avocado, Barley grass, Barley, Cabbage, Lettuce, Cucumber, Dandelion, Endive, Beetroot, Garlic, Wheat Grass, White Beans, Tomatoes (I can hear you saying "But they're acid". Yes they are until they get into your stomach and they become alkaline), Lemons, Celery, Broccoli (AND LOTS OF IT), Limes, Squash, Spinach, Red Cabbage, Capsicums, Carrots, Cauliflower, Green beans, Leeks, Onions, Turnips.
Basically any vegetable is good for you, but I do recommend that you eat less potatoes. Try not to have them on your plate every night.
You will be amazed at how quickly you will feel healthier, especially if you avoid the red meat. In a later article I will list the vegetables in categories, but for now this will be a good start for you. Get healthy and feel the difference!

When I reached the age of 25, I always felt sick and weak. I had a hard time to figure out what the causes of my health problems were. I consulted with more than one doctor, yet the illness was still there. Alkaline diet plan has been the best remedy to my health problem.
I have experienced premature aging at the age of 25. I came to know that the main cause of premature aging is too much acidity in our body. If you are always eating more of the acid foods than alkaline foods, your body becomes acidic. There are some symptoms that can be seen during premature aging.
Among these symptoms are:
1. Weakness and Fatigue.

When you feel pain anywhere in your body, it means that something is wrong. Surely, there is an unbalanced fluid pH. If your body pH is not maintained at its optimum, the cells will not function well.
The body cells need nutrients and minerals to enable them to help our body produce enough energy. If the cells are damaged, our tissues and organs will definitely be compromised too. It is because cells make them up. And organs and tissues make up our body.
We experience pains and aches in our joints and muscles. Oftentimes, when we experience premature aging, we suffer from arthritis and other bone diseases. In turn, we cannot do our tasks.
3. Emotional disturbances like depression.
Too much acidity causes emotional disturbance. If you do not eat the right foods, you will not have a healthy body. If you do not have a healthy body, it means that you do not have a healthy mind too.
Alkaline diet plan is the answer to having a healthy mind and body. Together with regular exercises, you can achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Alkaline foods help your blood to deliver the oxygen and other nutrients properly. Exercise also helps oxygen to be delivered uniformly in the body.
Acid foods hinder our blood to carry the oxygen all throughout our body. It is because they let the red blood cells clump together. In effect, it gets harder for them to pass through the bloodstream. And the nutrients and oxygen are not delivered properly.
These are the symptoms of premature aging. Alkaline diet plan would best suit someone who suffers from this. And I know for sure, that like me, many people have been experiencing it. I am glad I have overcome this situation.

• Alkaline Juice
This recipe is great for breakfast because it will boost your energy level. It awakens your digestive system while providing nutrition to your body.
You can mix cucumber, celery, spinach, lettuce leaves and any other green leafy vegetables. You can also use parsley and fresh alfalfa as optional boosters. For dinner, Detox Lime-Chili Stir 'Fry' is one of the likable alkaline diet recipes. The ingredients are Pak-Choi, carrots, mange-tout/sugar snap peas, beansprouts, broccoli, cabbage (red or green), fresh lime juice, chilli, coriander and vegetable boullion and brown basmati rice/wild rice.
The first thing you should do is to pulp the coriander with the mortar and pestle. And then add chilli and lime juice to make a sauce. Set it aside. And then, you will chop all the vegetables finely. After this you will steam them but do not fully cook so as not to lose the nutrients.
Now, you will cover the cooked stuff over the rice and then put the sauce.
It is so simple yet delicious. You can also steam fry the vegetable in a vegetable boullion stock if you do not have a steamer. If you are into seafood, you can also add prawns.
The amount of each ingredient is dependent upon your choice.
• Alkaline Snack
The alkaline recipe that will surely attract your taste is an asparagus dressed with lemon juice.
The ingredients are asparagus stems (bend towards the end and let them snap naturally), spring onions, melted (avocado) butter, grated lemon peel of half a lemon, fresh lemon juice of a whole lemon and fresh thyme.
Steam the spring onion and asparagus but avoid overcooking. Then mix the avocado butter, lemon juice, thyme and lemon rind to make the dressing. Add some cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil to neutralize the lemon juice a little. Now, stack the spring onion and asparagus and then dress.
